Working Moms Netherlands Conference, April 2009

My friend Patty and I were on the brink of insanity, oppressed by the monotonous drudgery that often goes along with raising little kids. We figured we do the same job every day, why not mix up the scenery? So we packed up the minivan and headed to Holland for four days. What was the same? Meals, diaper changes, carsick (and barfing) kids, fighting kids, time-outs, baths, bedtime struggles, and runny noses. What was different? Beautiful tulips in Keukenhof garden, relaxing (OK chasing kids) on a farm, and some of the scenes below. Patty- thanks for being a great coworker. 3 cheers for community parenting. Patty, Christian, and Claire at a street carnival in Haarlem, Netherlands.
Jackson and Claire chill out at the tulip gardens.

Peter and Jackson became fast friends, while Christian allowed Claire to boss him around day in and day out. Peter and Claire? Fought like crazy, but we still think they'll get married.

The beautiful beach in Holland. Topless old women (at a safe distance), freezing cold water, and a playground.

Oh the energy you have to do the things you do! I'm glad you actually found the time to have some fun. The beach looked AMAZING.

Jackson has some serious belly fat. I love the pic of him in the green striped one piece. I can totally see Brandon in that outfit, struttin the streets of Germany.
